The Future Starts Here
The physicians at Retina Associates of Utah are dedicated to providing excellent patient care in the Mountain West region. Part of this commitment includes the expansion of our clinical research department, which allows us to better serve our patient population with innovative therapies.
Dr. Robert Kwun from Retina Associates of Utah recently performed the first surgical administration in Utah of an investigational gene therapy for wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD) as part of a clinical research study.
Wet AMD is the leading cause of blindness in the United States, and this groundbreaking procedure could potentially help many patients with wet AMD facing vision loss and monthly injections to the eye.
