Meet Dr. Nordgren
Dr. Rick Nordgren received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and completed his medical training at the Medical College of Wisconsin where he was involved in multiple ophthalmologic research projects and publications.
He then completed an internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wi, followed by his ophthalmology training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. As a graduating senior resident, he was presented with multiple awards including the Senior Resident Teaching Award, and the Silver Scalpel award for surgical excellence. Dr. Nordgren then completed his training with a 2-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Retina Institute of Indiana.
He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
